Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!

Welcome to talkingteaching.

Talking teaching has been happening among the accounting lecturers at CSU Bathurst for many years. The happy combination of having Carole Hunter who is interested in developing wikis to help document and extend our practice and Jayne Bisman who saw more junior staff stumbling over talking about teaching in more formal situations has led to the development of this wiki.

Here we are attempting to provide a record of our morning tea/corridor conversations so that our experiences aren't lost when we move on to different challenges. Some of us are also attempting to develop a way in which our teaching practice can be discussed within a theoretical frame and in doing so examine ways to improve our practice and perhaps make comments upon theory.

We invite you to use this wiki to document and discuss your accounting teaching practice and we expect that with your input this wiki will grow and change and become a valuable resource for us all and those who come after us.

Check our help pages for more information on how to start adding to our site.

What a terrific intro - it encapsulates everything I hoped we would be doing in this wiki!!

Help pages are simple to use, and show most of the main things you need to use.

Thanks for setting these up.

Thanks Kay - looking forward to finally getting this started and seeing where we can take this and how it can help us. I'll start adding pages gradually over the next few weeks - hope others can too.
Carole
